(Corr)Tajik president off to meet Putin in Sochi
(Correcting time of report to 0800 gmt) Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov has left for Sochi to meet his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, Asia-Plus reported on 4 June. Foreign Minister Talbak Nazarov, Finance Minister Safarali Najmuddinov, Energy Minister Jurabek Nurmuhammadov, the head of the Border Protection Committee, Abdurahmon Azimov; the chief of the armed forces' staff, Ramil Nodirov; and the president's state adviser on foreign policy, Erkin Rahmatulloyev; are accompanying him, the agency said. It said Putin and Rahmonov were expected to discuss a wide range of issues on Russian-Tajik relations, including the fate of the Russian border guards in Tajikistan.
