Kyrgystan - Detecon seen as favourite for Kyrgyztelecom
Detecon, subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, and Diebold Consultants-Arextech are leading a consortium seen as the likely winner in the tender for a 51% stake in Kyrgyztelecom (Kyrgystan), telecoms operator, according to report in the Vedomosti newspaper. The Detecon consortium has made a USDlr16.2 mil bid, with Rostelecom (Russia) bidding USDlr15.05 mil. The winner will be announced seven days from 02 June 2004.
