RBC TV launches weekly program for CNBC
The first Russian business channel RBC TV has started a new joint project with CNBC. The agreement was reached during negotiations with CNBC Europe and its affiliates - CFN-CNBC (Italy), CNBC-e (Turkey) č CNBC Arabiya (UAE) – in Istanbul in early May, 2004.

According to the partnership agreement, RBC TV will prepare a weekly program to be broadcast on CNBC channels. The program will provide a survey of Russian markets and corporate development trends in various sectors of the economy. The weekly 15-minute program will be broadcast in English on a working day, to be repeated on the weekend.

"This agreement is another step on RBC TV’s path of covering the Russian economy for the Western audience,” RBC TV General Director Artyom Inutin said. “The first project to provide TV programs on the Russian economy was launched in September 2003 for CNN. The main goal was to make Russian business news available to a global audience. With the launch of the new project, the whole business elite of Europe, which watches CNBC and is interested in Russia, will be able to watch Russian economic news,” he said.

CNBC Europe is the leading business TV channel in Europe. It has an audience of more than 260m people, which is 90 percent of Europe’s economically active business population.
