Russia suspends EU meat exports, failing to agree on certificate
Russia has suspended imports of meat from the European Union. Russia and the EU have not yet come to terms over the single veterinary certificate, the Russian Agriculture Ministry says. The suspension is unlikely to seriously affect major Russian meat markets as the latter import meat from the CIS to a large extent, experts are saying. Moreover, the suspension is going to boost sales of domestic meat.
