TMK pipe holding may triple sales in 2004
MOSCOW. June 1 (Interfax) - Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) could boost revenues 26%-37% to $2.2 billion-$2.4 billion in 2004, Dmitry Pumpyansky, the holding's general director, told the Second Metallurgy Summit in Moscow. TMK had revenues of $1.75 billion in 2003, Pumpyansky said. The first quarter of 2004 had been unfavorable for TMK owing to growth in steel prices, but that growth has now peaked, Pumpyansky said. The TMK holding produces just over 42% of Russia's pipes overall, and just over 60% of the country's oil and gas industry pipes. [RU ASIA EUROPE EEU EMRG STL RES RESF] pr
