MOSCOW. June 1 (Interfax) - The Moscow Arbitration Court on Tuesday upheld a May 19 ruling suspending a Tax Ministry
claim against Yukos, and thus, rejected the ministry's appeal of the initial ruling, an Interfax correspondent
reported from the court.

The ministry, which accuses Yukos of tax evasion via internal
offshore companies, issued its claim after finishing an audit of
Yukos appealed the order. The Moscow Arbitration Court scheduled a hearing for the appeal for May 26 but took a break
until June 1, though it approved the ministry's claim on May 26.
