Permenergo boosts net profit in Q1
PERM. June 1 (Interfax) - Permenergo posted net profit of 643.63 million rubles in the first quarter of 2004, up from 75.74 million rubles in the same period of 2003. The company told Interfax that net profit soared largely due to higher energy tariffs and increased production. Revenue rose 17% to 5.35 billion rubles. Gross profit was up 140% to 1.23 billion rubles and pretax profit soared 550% to 897.4 million rubles. Unified Energy System of Russia owns 49% of Permenergo and Complex Energy Systems owns over 25%.
