Prominent Russian journalist faces bankruptcy charges
Igor Golembiovskiy, former head of the Novyye Izvestiya publishers, and his deputy, Sergey Agafonov, have been charged with deliberate bankrupting the company. The RBK agency learned about this at the investigation committee of the Russian Interior Ministry today. The Prosecutor-General's Office opened a criminal case with regard to the bankruptcy of Novyye Izvestiya on 7 April 2003. Later the case was handed over to the Interior Ministry's investigation committee. Now the investigation is completed.
