ECONOMY MINISTRY FORECASTS 9.7% RUBLE GROWTH IN 2004
The real effective exchange rate of the ruble will climb 9.7% in 2004.
The real effective exchange rate of the ruble grew 5.9% in January- April 2004.
The ministry says the ruble will appreciate 8.5% against the dollar in 2004. The ruble grew 5.3% against the dollar
in January-April 2004.
The nominal exchange rate of the ruble will be 29.2 rubles/$1 at the end of 2004 and the average exchange rate for
the year will be 28.9 rubles/$1, the ministry forecasts.
