Yerevan, 1 June: Armenia plans to increase defence spending in 2005, the country's Defence Minister and Security Council secretary, Serzh Sarkisyan, has said. Serzh Sarkisyan spoke after the parliamentary session on the execution of the 2003 budget. Armenia will spend about 85m dollars on defence in 2004, a 7-8 per cent rise from the year before.
