India - Sistema and Millicom also bidding for Idea stake
Idea (India), cellular firm, has seen Sistema (Russia) and Millicom International Cellular (Luxembourg) join the bidding for a 33% stake in the firm being sold by AT+T (US). Singapore Technologies Telemedia (STT) and Malaysia Telekom are making a joint bid which is among the favoured bids. Bharti Televentures and Maxis (Malaysia), telecoms firm, have also shown interest in the stake. Bids are between Rs9 and Rs13/share.
