Chechen president`s son dies at home, "no signs of violence"
[Presenter] Heart failure caused the death of the eldest son of decreased Chechen President Akhmat Kadyrov. Zelimkhan Kadyrov, who was 29, died four hours ago. Marina Maksimova reports. [Correspondent] Zelimkhan Kadyrov was found unconscious in the bedroom at his home in the village of Tsentoroy. A short time beforehand he had clutched at his chest and complained to relatives that he was in severe pain. Doctors were summoned but were unable to help. The Chechen health ministry told Interfax [news agency] that no signs of violence were discovered at the scene of Kadyrov's death. Zelimkhan's acquaintances say that he had often complained of poor health recently, especially after his father's death. Zelimkhan received several serious injuries in a traffic accident last year, including a broken arm and concussion. He subsequently underwent several major operations. Nonetheless, at his relatives' request the Chechen police might carry out additional investigations into the circumstances of the death. [Presenter] Zelimkhan Kadyrov's funeral will take place tomorrow in the village of Tsentoroy. He will be buried alongside his father, who died in a terrorist attack in Groznyy on 9 May.
