Vladimir Zhirinovskiy said on the "Orange Juice" interview programme broadcast by Russian NTV channel.
Zhirinovskiy suggested that Putin's team is going to persuade him to change the Russian Constitution and to run for
the presidency for a third term. After that, Zhirinovskiy said, he himself was going to be elected president of Russia
in celebration of his 70th birthday and he would offer Putin the post of prime minister, thus enabling him to remain in
actual power for another eight years.
Zhirinovskiy said his party [Liberal Democratic Party of Russia] was going to win popularity in the next 12 years by
travelling in Russian regions and making people aware of the party's concern for their needs.
He described the programme for his future presidency, which included introducing total control over the population
via the application of state-of-the-art technology, forcing young people to go in for sport, which in his opinion, will
eliminate crime and sentencing a limited amount of people to death in order to avoid death of millions as a result of
the irresponsible policy of the authorities.
