LIMTEX TO EXPAND NARGIS` EXPORT MART, EYES $25 MILLION SALES (to expand export markets for Nargis brand packet tea targeting revenue of $25 million by 2007)
Limtex India Ltd (LIL) is exporting its Nargis brand of packet tea to Russia. It plans to export the brand to other CIS countries, UAE, Iraq, Afghanistan, and USA. It has targeted at export revenue of $25 million from the brand by 2007. LIL acquired Nargis brand from Project India Blend Ltd in 2003. It launched the brand in selected domestic markets, with plans to have presence across India by Dec 2004. The company also plans to launch a whole-leaf South Indian tea under a sub-brand, Hot Choice, in the domestic market.
