Putin, Gil-Robles presented with book in Chechen language
NOVO-OGARYOVO, MOSCOW REGION. May 27 (Interfax) - Russian presidential human rights commission chairman Ella Pamfilova presented a book containing a collection of world fairy tales in the Chechen language to President Vladimir Putin and Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Alvaro Gil-Robles on Thursday. Speaking at a meeting between Russian human rights advocates and Putin and Gil-Robles in the presidential residence in Novo-Ogaryovo, Pamfilova noted that the presidential human rights commission assisted in publishing the book. She said the book will enable Chechen children to know more about world culture. Talking about her commission, Pamfilova said that "human rights advocates now have the chance to tell the president their opinion on the most pressing problems in this area."
