Sberbank, EDC sign memorandum of understanding
MOSCOW. May 26 (Interfax) - Russian savings bank Sberbank and Exprot Development Canada (EDC) signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim of strengthening relations in coordinating support for the import of Canadian goods and services to Russia, Sberbank reported. EDC said strengthening relations with Sberbank was an important step in promoting Canadian exports to Russia. The cooperation will enable Sberbank corporate clients to receive support in financing exports of goods and services from Canada. The agreement between EDC and Sberbank will establish long-term relations between the two institutions and create a basis for making financial deals on specific operations, mutual promotion of services and information exchange on future projects.
