RUSSIA: $130 MILLION FOR VIMPELCOM
Russia's biggest state-owned bank, Sberbank, has extended a US$130 million loan to the country's second-biggest cellular operator, Vimpelcom, the bank said on. The five-year credit will be used to extend Vimpelcom's GSM services and mobile telecoms networks in Russian regions, Sberbank said. In April, worsening market conditions forced Vimpelcom to postpone a $300 million eurobond aimed at financing its $981 million capital expenditure program for 2004. - (EMEconomy.com)
