GAZ auto works posts net profit of 1.6 mln rubles in Q1
MOSCOW. May 25 (Interfax) - The GAZ auto works had net profits of 1.596 million rubles in the first quarter of 2004, compared with net losses of 126.6 million rubles in the same period of last year, the company said. Revenues grew 42% year-on-year to 10.164 billion rubles, profits before tax grew 70% to 141.59 million rubles and costs rose 57% to 9.398 billion rubles, while gross profits fell 35% to 765.932 million rubles and operating profits fell 56% to 240.558 million rubles.
