Kachkanarsky GOK net profits 513 mln rubles in Q1
MOSCOW. May 25 (Interfax) - First-quarter net profits at Kachkanarsky GOK, Russia's biggest ferrovanadic ore producer, came to 513 million rubles against the 24 million rubles of net losses of the same quarter last year, a press release from main GOK shareholder EvrazHolding reports. Gross profits tripled to 807 million rubles. Sales profits rose 290% to 678 million rubles. The GOK mined 11.6 million tonnes of ore in January-March, produced 2.2 million tonnes of concentrate, 0.7 million tonnes of agglomerate and 1.3 million tonnes of pellets. Kachkanarsky GOK is Russia's fourth largest mining and benification outfit. It works the Gusevogorsk deposit and its ore reserves of 5.4 billion tonnes with average iron content of 16%.
