Russian southern territory to offer 300 investment projects to German business
Krasnodar, 26 May: Three aircraft carrying participants of the "Days of Krasnodar Territory in Germany" international economic forum left Krasnodar for Hannover in the early hours of the morning [on 26 May]. The party comprises Krasnodar Territory businessmen, specifically bankers, directors of Black Sea resort hotels, representatives of oil, gas and transport companies, as well as farmers, teachers and doctors. The forum, where participants from Krasnodar Territory are going to offer western businessmen some 300 investment projects worth 7bn euros, will open on 27 May. Taking part in it will be about 1,400 businessmen from the EU, the USA and the Middle East, which is four times more than in last year's event. Over 8bn euros has been invested to Krasnodar Territory's economy in the last three years. However, it is not capital alone that Krasnodar Territory needs today. "We need investment in the form of state-of-the-art technology and the latest equipment," the territory's governor, Aleksandr Tkachev, said. Apart from this, a cooperation agreement between the administration of Krasnodar Territory and the government of Lower Saxony will be signed in Hannover.
