Lukoil directors approve 2003 report
MOSCOW. May 24 (Interfax) - Lukoil's board of directors gave preliminary approval to the 2003 annual report at a meeting in Bucharest, the oil major said in a news release. Lukoil raised oil production 2.1% to 81.5 million tonnes from 79.8 million tonnes in 2002. The company produced 78.6 million tonnes of oil in Russia last year. Lukoil produced oil at as many as 311 fields after putting 14 new properties on stream during 2003. Lukoil also produced 5.7 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas, which was 11% more than in 2002.
