Chelsea boss should quit, says audit chief
THE head of Russia's highest audit body cranked up the pressure against oilmagnate Roman Abramovich yesterday, saying the billionaire owner of Chelsea soccerclub should step down as governor of a remote Arctic region. The sharp criticism came just days after the fiscal watchdog concluded that the Chukotkaregion is essentially bankrupt and that it has handed questionable tax breaks toAbramovich's oil company, Sibneft. The news sparked speculation that Abramovich could be the next target for stateprosecutors after the jailing of former Yukos oil company chief Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
