Acer CIS plans to triple turnover in 2004
MOSCOW. May 21 (Interfax) - Acer CIS, the subdivision of Taiwan's Acer Inc. in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, plans to triple its turnover in 2004, Acer CIS general manager Gleb Mishin announced at a press conference in the Russian capital. "Among our goals are increasing the company's share of the [laptop computer] market to 10% and returning to the market for federal-scale projects," Mishin said. Acer CIS did 15.2 million euros worth of turnover in 2003. "We sold 8,829 notebooks [computers] in the first quarter of 2004, almost as many as all of last year, and the company's quarterly turnover increased by two and a half times, profits 20-fold," Mishin said.
