UES eyes Romanian power sector projects
MOSCOW. May 21 (Interfax) - Unified Energy System (UES) aims to deliver a number of projects in Romania's power sector, Arkady Volsky, head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, said in Bucharest. Volsky said UES would seek a role in the construction of new- generation gas-turbine heat and power pants, the modernization of the No. 7 generating unit at the Romag Termo power plant and other hydro and thermal power plants and the privatization of regional power grids in Romania. UES spokeswoman Tatyana Milyaeva told Interfax that the Russian electricity holding was "looking at the Romanian energy market with interest" but declined to make further comment.
