Accumulated foreign investment rises 32.6% over year
The Committee said 54.5% of the total foreign investment was other investments in the form of loans by international financial MOSCOW. May 20 (Interfax) - Accumulated foreign investment in Russia totaled $57.1 billion at the end of March 2004, up 32.6% year- on-year, the Federal State Statistics Service reported. organizations trade credits and the like, 43% was direct investment and 2.5% portfolio investment. At the end of March 2003, these proportions were 51.8%, 45.5% and 2.7%, respectively. Most of the cumulative investment came from Germany, the United States, Cyprus, Britain, France, and the Netherlands. These countries accounted for 72.4% of the total.
