MACHINE PLANT ARSENAL COULD QUINTUPLE DIVIDENDS
ST. PETERSBURG. May 19 (Interfax) - The board of directors at St. Petersburg-based machine-building plant Arsenal is recommending that company shareholders endorse dividends for 2003 of 10 rubles when they gather for their annual meeting on May 22, company source told Interfax. Company net profits increased 23% in 2003 to 34.384 million rubles. Dividends paid for 2002 were 2 rubles. The board recommends that the shareholders again confirm St. Petersburg company Intersistemaudit as auditor for 2004. Main financial indicators for 2003 (1,000 rubles) rubles on January 1, 2003, to 549.175 million rubles on the same date in 2004, accounts receivable from 289.316 million to 931.802 million rubles. Arcenal is one of Russia's largest producers of space technology. Its charter capital is 1,501,162 rubles split into the same number orf common shares with par value of one ruble. Its main shareholders are private investors, Arsenal mechanical plant (14.48%), the Russian Property Relations Ministry (7.89%) and the state, which holds the 'golden share.'
