Russian miners resume hunger strike over wage arrears
[Presenter] Miners at the Yeniseyskaya mine in Khakassia have resumed their hunger strike. One hundred and thirty-nine mine workers are taking part, including 37 women. They are demanding that their wage arrears are paid to them. Interfax learnt this at the enterprise's trade union committee. Nineteen days ago 59 miners at Yeniseyskaya carried out a similar protest action and managed to get their demands partially met. At that time managers promised to pay the rest of the arrears by 15 May, but the miners have not received the money yet.
