Govt. expects mortgage market to grow 30 times by 2010
MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - The Russian government expects the market for mortgage loans to grow more than 30 times by 2010, acting industry and energy minister Viktor Khristenko said at a government meeting in Moscow on Thursday. "The mortgage market may grow from the current 10.5 billion rubles to 350 billion rubles in 2003 prices by 2010," Khristenko said. "This is a forecast, but it is realistic from the point of view of measures [the government] is proposing," he said. [RU EUROPE EEU EMRG BNK POL] te tl <>
