Switzerland - IPOC, Alfa to take MegaFon dispute to court
IPOC (Bermuda) and Alfa (Russia) will take to the Swiss International Chamber of Commerce's (ICC) tribunal their
dispute regarding a 25.1% stake in MegaFon (Russia), mobile group. IPOC will maintain that Alfa and LV Finance (Russia)
violated international law by refuting that IPOC owned the stake. IPOC will uphold the principle that the same assets
cannot be sold twice, according to Roland Bopp, general manager of IPOC. IPOC is relying on the ICC establishing its
ownership of the stake. IPOC insists that it rightfully owns the stake.
