Chechen State Council elects new chairman
Groznyy, 11 May: Taus Dzhabrailov was elected chairman of the State Council of the Chechen Republic in Groznyy on Tuesday [11 May]. Until recently, Dzhabrailov held the post of minister for nationalities, information and external relations in the republic's government. On 10 May, acting President of Chechnya Sergey Abramov appointed Dzhabrailov deputy chairman of the republic's government.
