Pantech eyes Russian expansion
Cellular phone manufacturer Pantech will feature its latest technical advancements at Russia's largest telecom and information technology exhibition that starts today. The move is part of the company's marketing efforts to strengthen its position in one of the world's most rapidly growing wireless markets. According to company officials yesterday, Pantech will display 25 new handsets and wireless local loop equipment at this year's SVIAZ/Expo Comm in Moscow, including phones that identify fingerprints or have built-in digital still and video cameras. The annual SVIAZ/Expo Comm is one of the world's largest international events for the wireless and broadband sector.
