World Bank, EBRD loans need to go into roads - Kudrin
MOSCOW. May 6 (Interfax) - Russia needs to speed up the use of loans from the World Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for highway construction, Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin proposed at a government meeting Thursday. World Bank and EBRD loans are currently financing the construction of a ring road around St. Petersburg and the Chita-Khabarovsk highway, he said. "We would suggest the budget be adjusted this year and propose that credit lines envisaged for two to three years be used in 12 to 18 months," he said. There will not be any new loans through the budget, he said. [RU ASIA EUROPE EEU EMRG WB BNK WEU LOA CON] me
