Sibirtelecom ups stake in Mobiltelecom
The price of the shares was not disclosed. Sibirtelecom plans to increase its stake further to 75%, head of NOVOSIBIRSK. May 6 (Interfax) - Sibirtelecom acquired 17.68% of Mobiltelecom in Ulan Ude at the end of April, raising its stake in the company to 43.68%, Sibirtelecom told Interfax. the company's capital markets department Alexei Shipitsin said. In March it received permission from the Anti-Monopoly Ministry to buy 49% of Mobiltelecom. Sibirtelecom has about 3.5 million fixed-line subscribers in the Siberian Federal District. Svyazinvest owns 38.2% of Sibirtelecom. Nominal shareholders are Depository Clearing Company with 14.83%, ING Bank (Eurasia) with 11.31%, and Brunswich UBC Warburg Nominees with 6.07%.
