Russian Duma adopts laws to boost budget revenue
[Presenter] At a plenary sitting today the Russian State Duma adopted, in three readings in one fell swoop, a law increasing tax on the extraction of minerals and also export duties on oil. The adoption of this document will ensure additional revenue of between 1bn dollars and 2bn dollars for the state budget. The law provides for increasing the tax from R347 to R400 for a tonne of oil. The increases in export duties will depend on oil prices in the world markets.
