Dynea Oy forms joint venture in Russia
Dynea Oy, a Finnish provider of adhesion and surfacing solutions to the woodworking industry, said on Monday (19 April) that it had set up a joint venture in Russia with the Russian methanol producer JSC Metafrax. The new company, named Z.A.O. MetaDynea, would be jointly owned by Dynea's Finnish subsidiary Dynea Chemicals Oy and JSC Metafrax, the company said. MetaDynea aims to ensure the availability of high quality adhesives for the manufacture of wood based panels, other woodworking industries and different industrial applications, according to Dynea. The company said that MetaDynea was building up a new resins plant in Gubakha, in the Perm region, and also plans to build another urea and melamine resins production unit in Western Russia by the end of 2006.
