Russia not planning to evacuate, cut embassy staff in Baghdad
MOSCOW/BAGHDAD. April 15 (Interfax) - There are no current plans to evacuate or reduce the staff of the Russian Embassy in Baghdad, a diplomatic source told Interfax. "This issue is not being considered on the practical plane," he said. "The situation in the Baghdad district where the Russian Embassy is located is so far stable, the diplomatic mission is being provided with everything necessary for work, and the staff's safety and normal living conditions are guaranteed," he said. The staff of the Russian Embassy in Baghdad currently numbers 37, after several diplomats returned to Baghdad from a mission to Jordan's Amman on Thursday, he said. The embassy is currently headed by Alexander Kinshchak, Russia's charge d'affaires in Iraq. [RU IQ EUROPE ASIA EEU EMRG DIP VIO] va aw
