16 April 2004 15:11 More appointments announced in Russian government Moscow, 16 April: Oleg Gordeyev and Vladimir Shchadov have been appointed deputy heads of the Federal Energy
Agency.
According to Prime-TASS, Vladimir Kuznetsov has been appointed the agency's deputy head in charge of gas
industry issues. Former Deputy Energy Minister Aleksandr Voronin, who was in charge of external ties, has been appointed
deputy director-general of Zarubezhneft.
[In a separate report at 0911 gmt on 16 April ITAR-TASS said that the government had appointed Leonid Reyman and
Sergey Aristov deputy transport and communications ministers. And ITAR-TASS at 1025 gmt quoted Russian Prime Minister
Mikhail Fradkov as telling journalists that the Russian government staff will be cut by 20 per cent "soon",
and the number of departments and directorates will be cut from 23 to 11 or 12].
