16 April 2004 03:22 Business in Brief: Google Wins
Address MOSCOW -- The Moscow Arbitration Court has rejected the claim of Avalanche, Russia's most famous web pirate, to
the rights to the address www.google.ru, and gave the ownership to U.S.-based Google Inc., Vedomosti reported
Thursday.
The California Internet giant, however, may face another problem in Russia with its new product, an e-mail service
called Gmail. Gmail.ru has existed for several years and has some 16,000 users already, but its owner, Semyon Budenny,
said he is ready to talk to Google.
