Russia - ComCor-TV subscriber base grows
Moscow CableCom (US) has unveiled operational progress for 1st-qtr 2004 for ComCor-TV (CCTV) (Russia), subsidiary offering broadband comms, entertainment and information services in Moscow, Russia. CCTV boosted its access network to 167,348 homes and companies as of 31 March 2004, up 8% vs end-2003. CCTV's terrestrial TV services had 58,296 subscribers as of 31 March 2004, up over 3.4% vs end-2003. The company had 6,873 subscribers to its premium cable TV services as of 31 March 2004, up nearly 33% vs end-2003. CCTV had 11,893 subscribers to its Internet access services, up almost 19% vs end-2003. Moscow CableCom forecasts that CCTV's revenue from subscriber services is forecast to grow by around 29% vs 4th-qtr 2003. Revenue from subscriber services will also be over USDlr1 mil for a qtr, the first time ever.
