Finance Ministry confirms Q1 budget surplus
MOSCOW. April 6 (Interfax) - The Finance Ministry has confirmed its federal budget surplus figures for the first
quarter of 2004 after clarifying spending volumes and put the surplus at 62.6 billion rubles, or 1.8% of GDP.
The ministry told Interfax that preliminary figures put first quarter revenue at 688.9 billion rubles, or 19.8% of
GDP and spending at 626.3 billion rubles, or 18% of GDP.
