Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov said at the international investment forum Moscow-Invest 2004 in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
Germany, the U.S., the Netherlands, Switzerland, and China are Moscow's leading trade partners, Luzhkov said.
"Regrettably, trade turnover between Moscow and the United Arab Emirates was only $90 million [in 2003], which is
too little," he noted.
Moscow maintains trade relations with 190 foreign countries, and Moscow's share in the entire volume of
accumulated and drawn investments varies from 40 to 50 percent of all foreign investments in Russia, Luzhkov said.
Moscow boasts the highest trade turnover in Russia, the mayor said. In particular, $30-billion worth of products and
services are annually sold in Moscow.
Individual incomes of the Muscovites grew 26% last year, he said. [RU EUROPE ASIA EEU EMRG TRD] va <>
