EU to declare Gibraltar tax system illegal (Bruselas declarara ilegal el paraiso fiscal de Gibraltar la proxima semana)
The European Commission plans to declare the system which makes Gibraltar a tax haven illegal. An announcement is
expected next week, to the effect that the system violates EU rules on state aid and a single market.
The current system benefits some 30,000 companies and a large part of the Russian mafia which operates on the Costa
del Sol. The reform to the system proposed by the UK is being rejected by the EU authorities.
