Vimpelcom has 6 mln subscribers in Moscow region
MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - Vimpelcom, a major Russian mobile phone operator working under the Beeline name, has over 6 million subscribers in Moscow and Moscow region, the company said in a press release. The number is about 50% of the overall number of mobile phone subscribers in the capital, the release says. "Analysts have more than once predicted the quick saturation of the capital's cellular communications market, but its potential has not yet run out and there continue to be good growth indicators," the release cites Vimpelcom First Vice President Nikolai Pryanishnikov as saying.
