Lokomotiv-Chelsea match date not yet set
MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - The management of Russian Railways supports the initiative of Roman Abramovich, governor of Chukotka and owner of Chelsea football club, to organize a friendly match between his team and Lokomotiv, a team sponsored by the railways. Russian Railways President Gennady Fadeyev told a Friday news conference in Moscow that during a recent working visit to Khabarovsk, Abramovich suggested organizing the match some time this year. The company's leadership and Lokomotiv football club "supported the initiative, but the participation of Lokomotiv and Chelsea in a number of international tournaments complicates the matter, and the date of such a match remains open so far," Fadeyev said.
