07 March 2004 08:15 Spormed convention to feature world fitness professionals ANKARA - The Spormed International Aerobic, Fitness and Dance Convention sponsored by the Med Art Sport Academy will
be held March 19-21 for the first time in Ankara. Trainers who qualify as the world's leading presenters in the
aerobics, fitness, spinning and dance fields from Germany, Sweden, Italy, China and Russia as well as Turkey will
participate in the convention, providing a unique opportunity to everyone involved in sports, especially students of
sports academies. For the first time at an international convention attendees will have an opportunity to take a Tai Chi
course. Courses and workshops will be part of the three-day convention, or what Spormed calls "Sport
Fair."
After completing the courses attendees will receive a participation certificate approved by the national Youth and
Sports General Directorate (GSGM), a Flexi Bar Techniques and Instruction Technique certificate and an International
Spinning Trainer certificate. In addition the attendees will have the opportunity to attend the Aerobics and Fitness
Association of America's (AFAA) Certificate Program for International Fitness Training seminar, which will be held
in May 2004 in Ankara. AFAA is the world's largest fitness educator and has issued more than 155,000 certifications
to fitness professionals from 73 countries around the world since 1983.
The sponsors of the convention are Nokia, Efes Light, Powerade, Denizbank and Radio ODTU.

The trainers who will be attending the Spormed International Aerobic, Fitness and Dance Convention are:
Andy Sasse, a flexi bar and body pump trainer from Germany. (Ankara is hosting a flexi bar course for the first
time.)
Andreas Goller, Reebok's top trainer, from Sweden.
Paola Evangelista, an IDEA presenter, from Italy.
Anja Roitner, MTV's choreographer, from Germany.
Murat Mo Toron, a body life presenter, from Germany.
Halil Gul, an Oriental aerobic presenter, from Germany.
Tamara of Russia's White Russia Modern Dance Academy.
Dr. Lituan, a Tai Chi trainer from China.
Two trainers are attending the convention from Turkey: Pinar Tansi from AFAA and Fahrettin Guven, chief choreographer
of the State Opera and Ballet General Directorate.
