product and food exports, Russian First Deputy Agriculture Minister Sergei Dankvert told Interfax.
During a recent visit to Brazil, Russian delegation members said they supported the position of Brazil and other G-24
countries, which are trying to oppose subsidized exports of agriculture products within the framework of the WTO, he
said.

quotas but it cannot compete price wise with European [pork]. But
European pork is only inexpensive because its export is serious
"We agreed that together we would fight market distortion caused by domestic support for agriculture producers
and export subsidies," Dankvert said. He said it was not fair that countries entering the WTO earlier kept the
rights to all domestic market protection measures and "fixed such a level of state support for agriculture that
they now have nothing to fear. Already within the framework of the WTO they have an advantage over developing countries,
and those entering the world trade community," he said.
subsidized," he said. "Without state support, neither pork nor other meat and dairy products from the EU
