Russia starts humanitarian supplies of grain to Georgian republic
Stavropol, 21 February: Russia has sent the first consignment of grain from its state reserves from Stavropol Territory to Abkhazia [breakaway republic in Georgia]. Stavropol Territory's agriculture ministry told RIA that humanitarian aid will total 7,000 tonnes. The first consignment of grain, which is stored in the Russian government's reserve in the village of ?Davnyy, was sent yesterday. The rest will be sent over the next few days.
