Saint-Gobain to invest in Vladimir glass fiber plant
VLADIMIR. Feb 11 (Interfax) - Saint-Gobain of France plans to invest $120 million in the reconstruction of Steklovolokno, a glass fiber plant in Vladimir region, Vladimir Veretennikov, the regional deputy governor, said. Saint-Gobain acquired a controlling stake in Steklovolokno from the Moscow-based investment company Russkie Investory with the aim of setting up new production. The cost of the deal has not been disclosed. After the deal's completion, in April 2004, Saint-Gobain and the regional administration will sign an agreement on investment of at least $120 million.
