Ministry forecasts exchange rate of 30 rubles to the dollar by year-end
MOSCOW. Feb 10 (Interfax) - The ruble exchange rate will amount to about 30 rubles to the dollar by the end of 2004, Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said at a meeting of the Club of Directors of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in Moscow on Tuesday. He said that the dollar exchange rate against the euro will amount to about $1.18-$1.2 to the euro by the end of the year. Dvorkovich also said that the ministry forecasts that the average exchange rate of the ruble against the dollar will amount to a little over 29 rubles and the average exchange rate of the dollar against the euro will be about $1.25 to the euro.
