RUSSIA: GOVERNMENT PERSONNEL TO BE CUT BY ONE-THIRD.
According to Ria Novosti, government staff may be cut by one-third due to administrative changes, The vice-premier Boris Alyoshin said. "It is hard today to give the exact number of officials to be dismissed." "Analysis has shown that government agencies do 40 percent more than perform their supervising functions. I think the government staff should be reduced by at least 30 percent," Aleshin indicated.
